"Like many in the longhorn community, we initially bought four longhorns, seeing them more as beautiful additions to our pasture than anything else. That small number soon expanded. We crossed paths with Nancy Dunn at Southeast Stock Horse events, sparking Ann’s fascination with longhorns. She even started following Nancy on social media, knowing that she’d eventually own some longhorns herself. In 2008, we moved to Alabama from Houston, Texas due to Clay’s work commitments.
Having longhorns has helped us keep a slice of Texas alive in our new home. As with anyone that is in the daily grind of working, going out to the farm, is just good for the soul. It’s as if all of your worries and stress are melted away when spending time with the Longhorns and horses."
