Located in Seminole, Texas, just 80 miles southwest of Lubbock, this growing operation is owned by Jamie Jackson and her family—who are raising Registered Texas Longhorns that perfectly embody the West Texas spirit: hardy, humble, and full of heart.
Their journey began in 2021 with just two cows and a dream. Over time, J Cross Longhorns has grown into a meaningful way of life—fueled by dedication to quality genetics, gentle temperaments, and striking confirmation. Each animal is raised with care, attention, and respect for the breed’s long-standing history.
Jamie’s ranching roots run deep. Her father, a farmer and rancher in the Texas Panhandle and owner of Sawyer Hay and Cube, Sawyer Feedlot, and Sawyer Farms, inspired her with a work ethic and mindset built on stewardship, resilience, and faith. Those same values now guide J Cross Longhorns and are being passed down to her three boys, who are learning the same way she did—hands-on and outdoors.
While the herd continues to grow, one cow in particular holds a special place: Rockin Queen, a young female known for her impressive horns, strong maternal instincts, and consistent calves. She represents everything J Cross Longhorns stands for: beauty, structure, and reliability.
