About Lazy JP Ranch:
Animals/Breed: Texas Longhorns
Location: Dublin, Texas
Contact: Julie Pack
"Julie started showing Longhorns with her Aunt and Uncle, Sue and Frank Bowdoin of Crown B Ranch, in 1996. Julie missed spending time with Longhorns so we started raising them in 1998 when she won her first calf from the Ark-La-Tex Association calf giveaway. Since that time we have expanded the herd to around 30 females with a focus on traditional conformation and twisty horns.
We raise not only registered Longhorns but crossbred commercial cattle as well. We're using all the traits that make Longhorns profitable to form a base for our commercial herd. We recently expanded our herd to include some of the finest miniature Longhorns we could find. We feel that miniatures are a great way to share the benefits of the Longhorn with smaller breeders and younger showmen. We are excited about this new chapter in the history of our ranch."
