1. Video Marketing

You’ve heard it before and you’ll hear it again this year, video content typically outperforms any other type of content. Nowadays, creating video doesn’t have to be a daunting task. Facebook, Snapchat, and Instagram all have templates and fun filters for you to help create interesting videos to share.

2. Live Video and Stories

If we’re talking about video marketing, we must talk about live videos and stories. Going live on your social platform is exciting, it’s real, and it can help you showcase events and connect with followers. Use the story tool to pop up at the top of your follower's feeds at multiple points throughout the day. Share interactive content, share personal content you want to share without making a whole post about it, just have fun with it! People want to see the people behind the business, and this is the easiest way to help show them what you’re all about on a regular basis.

3. User-Generated Content

If you’re nervous about creating and posting your own video, start by sharing someone else’s! We all love when another person or account shares something we posted, as long as you give them credit. It will make you feel more comfortable with eventually posting your own content and it will help create a relationship with the follower or fellow business whose content you’re sharing. Win-win! Encourage followers to share content with incentives like contests, giveaways, or for fun. Maybe your ranch just got your first order of hats with your brand on them. That is so exciting! Run a contest online telling people to share photos of them in their ranch’s brand hat and then pick a random winner to receive one of yours. Give people a reason to participate and engage with your content.

4. Visual Content

Another thing to focus on this year is creating visual content. 65% of people are visual learners! The majority of people are going to remember something easier if it’s in a photo or graphic versus you just typing it out. Get creative this year with how you display your information. Even just putting words on top of a photo is a good start. A few websites (that are also apps!) that can help you get started: Canva and Adobe Spark.

5. Social Media Marketing

If you're unfamiliar with the terms we’ve been using above like ‘live videos’ and ‘stories’, that means you’re not up to date on your social media marketing. If you haven’t put your business on Facebook yet, maybe because you’re not sure how it all works, find someone to do it for you. In 2020, a business without a social presence is just giving their business away to someone else who is. With that, this year we’re helping you by sharing our goal of bringing more authenticity to our social media strategy. People want to connect with a business. They use companies recommended by friends, when they call they want to talk to a real person, they want a personalized and comfortable experience.

6. Personalization

We work with multiple breeds and each requires its own love and attention. This year, we’re dedicated to providing the best service to each breeder based on the unique needs of their animals. We’re always open to feedback. If you have ideas on how we can better serve your breed’s online marketing, let us know! Just email info@hiredhandsoftware.com. Your marketing should look like your brand, not someone else’s. We’re focused on building your brand and creating a visual representation of your company, not creating cookie cutter designs that look like everyone else’s. This brings us to our next focus...

7. Branding

If you don’t have an established brand, 2020 is your year to get on top of the game. No, we’re not talking about your ranch brand that you put on your animal’s rear ends. We’re talking about the distinctive representation of your business through your logo, your website, the verbiage you use to describe your business, and how people will inevitably remember you and describe you to others. Every business should be visually represented with a logo and branding guidelines to establish professionality and a sense of loyalty and recognition with customers.

8. Omnichannel Marketing

Be everywhere – have multiple social profiles (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest), keep your website up to date, create an email list for potential clients or business partners, start a blog, etc. The more present you are online, the more chances of being seen and the more opportunities you have to connect with new people.

9. Data-Driven Content

Our marketing strategy this year is based on you! What do you like, what you want, what do you need? We’re taking our planning to another level and basing everything we do on how you interact with us and our digital content. This involves deep insight into how our posts and online content is performing. We can help your business with this as well! If you want more insights into how your social profile is doing, we can help. If you’re curious how to access your #HiredHandPowered website’s analytics, we would love to show you.

10. A/B Split Testing with Ads

All of our marketing so far has been free and organic. But if you’re ready to take the next step into the world of paid online marketing, we have a good first step for you. A/B testing lets you change variables, such as your ad’s visual, audience or placement, to determine which strategy performs best for you and to help improve your future campaigns. If you’re not sure where to start or who exactly to target, A/B testing will take the guesswork out for you and will let you see side by side how two different ads are comparing.
