Being the fourth generation to live and work the ranch, Big Sky Livestock has been home to various breeds of cattle throughout the years and maintained a love for good using ranch horses. Located in south central Montana, the area has a lot of history to offer as they're located between Rosebud Battlefield and Battle of the Little Bighorn.

At D-R Henry Ranch, they love to experience owning all different kinds of animals and finding love for each of them. They have a collection of Angus, bottle fed Holsteins, Registered Longhorn Cattle, a few Quarter horses, and a miniature donkey named Uno.

For Shepherd Ranch Cattle Co., their ranch is their passion and is a labor of love. Their family and ranch have grown hand in hand over the years. They hand-picked their base herds and have watched them produce and thrive. The majority of ranch work is done on horseback as their family is a rodeo family! In addition to cattle, they will occasionally have available for purchase ranch horses, roping horses, and barrel horses. Shepherd Ranch also offers a limited selection of various breeds of sheep and goats.

As Hurricane Harvey has wreaked havoc along our Gulf Coast, Hired Hand wants our customers and everyone effected to know that they are in our thoughts and prayers. With the worst of the storm seemingly over, the catastrophic and life-threatening flooding is not done yet. We’ve cultivated some helpful tips and links from across the internet to help those who may have animals in need, wish to donate to animal efforts, etc.
Floods can impact animal health as well as human health. These resources encourage you to make plans for your livestock, horses, and pets in the event you will need to or have evacuated your home or farm.

Last week we announced the release of Breeder Beacon, a mobile app for Longhorn, Deer and Horse breeders. Breeder Beacon uses your phone's GPS location to show you fellow breeders in your surrounding area or on your route. In addition to being able to search by breeder type, name, ranch name, city, state, etc. users can also view breeders in map view or listing view. Users can even save a list of their favorites.
