2017 Hudson/ Valentine Trends and Averages

Since the beginning of 2017 Hired Hand has been compiling additional sales data and sharing it via our Blog and Mobile Marketing program. We plan to continue to share these stats from future consignment sales as well. We hope that they will be beneficial to breeders and show Industry sales trends. We welcome your feedback and requests. 

Please find below some additional Hudson Valentine Sale results courtesy of your friends at Hired Hand*:

We did not include the 3 cataloged Donation Lots, non-cataloged donation heifer, Futurity Class Winners who sold or the Semen Lot/Special in our stats.

Heifer Sale:

36 of 38 lots were sold for a total of $214,300. The Shown & Sold Average was $5,972.58. 

Heifer Sale Average: $5,791.89.

4 Cash Cows sold for a total of $62,200 and an average of $15,550.

One of the Cash Cows sold on-line. 

Lot 29 topped the Heifer Sale at $25,000. 

Cow Sale:

52 of 55 lots were sold for a total of $654,500. The Shown & Sold Average was $7,610.47. 

Cow Sale Average: $8,804

12 Cash Cows sold for a total of $278,000 and an average of $23,166.67.

One of the Cash Cows sold on-line for $33,000.

Lot 29 topped the Cow Sale at $86,000.

Hired Hand Live Internet Bidding Influence:

12 Lots sold on-line for a total of $85,200. The on-line average was $7,100.

There were 276 Internet bids.

84.4% of items were up-bid by the internet.

On Friday $110,300 worth of absentee bids were placed. The live bids influence value was $125,350.

On Saturday $204,500 worth of absentee bids were placed.  The live bids influence value was $160,800.
